Director Operations at Onwio Ash Mo shared her thoughts with us; “There are more than 200 South Asian families lives in KBC, most of them are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Srilanka. The biggest challenge in KBC is finding Asian condiments and food delicacies, the shortest route to finding Asian delicacies is the city of Perth which is 600 km from KBC”.

We did our market research, established working groups, arranged brainstorming sessions with community members before hitting the ground. Also, we are introducing a convenient way of shopping with secure payment gateways, home deliveries, and almost the same prices which people pay in Perth, WA ” Ash says.

With a nod and a smile, Ash says, “Due to COVID-19 lockdown, the situation was challenging for us, finding the right supplies, establishing a supply chain, selecting the right products & brands and at the top state of the art Online Store, all we needed to do just in 2 weeks time as Holy Month of Ramadan was approaching”.

With all challenges, onwio.com finally launched on 1st May 2020, the overwhelming response from the community is quite promising for Team Onwio and parent company Unilakes Technology Investment.
